Designer and bespoke shoe maker Kira Goodey launched Scarlet Fever Footwear in early 2013.

Born in Perth, Western Australia, Goodey had an artistic background from a very young age. Initially she worked as a costume and mascot maker, before immigrating to London to work as a womenswear print designer for Alexander McQueen. After the untimely death of McQueen, Goodey embarked on a shoemaking apprenticeship with cordwainers Iliaz Iliazi and Paul Thomas. During this time she assisted on shoes for Lady Gaga, Grayson Perry and Angelina Jolie.

In the short time since starting Scarlet Fever Footwear, Goodey’s shoes have been worn by the likes of Lianne La Havas and Britney Spears, appeared in publications globally and been exhibited in London and New York. Currently, Goodey hand crafts her unique creations from a studio in Hackney, East London.
